Signed Emma Page vintage costume jewelry (1978-)
The history of the Australian costume jewellery brand Emma Page began in South Yarra, Victoria in 1978 and lasted for more than four decades. However, the name of the brand itself originates from the Australian private limited company Emma Page Travel Proprietary Limited, founded in 1959. The family business of Raymond and Julia Vidor, who launched the costume jewellery brand with the EP logo, was very successful from the very beginning. The company’s representatives sold jewelry from house to house, door to door, at house parties and through presentations to organizations.
The style of Emma Page imitation jewelry varies from fashion and classic to modern and abstract with the use of gold and silver tone metal alloys, faux pearls, enamels, rhinestones and glass. The maker’s mark includes uppercase “Emma Page” on oval or square cartouche.
Branches of the Emma Page jewelry company soon appeared in the USA – in California (1979-1995), Texas (1984-1989), New Jersey (1988-1997), and Pennsylvania (1989-1998), as well as in New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Canada. After many years of operation, management changes and reorganization, Emma Page jewelry ceased to exist in 2013. However, its products can still be purchased through online marketplaces and the Amway Corporation in Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia.
