Signed JHB vintage costume jewelry and buttons (1969-2014)
Founded in Colorado in 1969, JHB Imports Inc became widely known primarily as a manufacturer and importer of buttons, buckles, thimbles, clasps, barrettes and pins. Operating under the name JHB International, the company expanded overseas to Japan, Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Korea and other countries.
Advertised in magazines and catalogues and sold on company cards, JHB presented creative designs in wooden, metal and plastic buttons. Peter Rabbit Collection, Christmas, tea break, sports and sewing series buttons were works of art, very popular with buyers. Today, any JHB piece, including buttons, buckles, costume jewellery and even catalogues or jewellery ads, has become a collector’s item.
Located at 1955 South Quince Street, Denver, JHB Imports Inc (1969-2014) began producing jewelry in 1974. JHB craftsmen made pins, earrings, charms, and keychains using metal alloys, plastic, glass, and enamel.
